Description

General Care:

This is an excellent shingling plant, meaning it prefers to grow upwards on vertical surfaces/ substrates.  It enjoys high humidity, but does not react well to water sitting on its leaves.

Size of the plant:

In terrariums, several meters in length is not uncommon.

Lighting requirements:

Intermediate to high intensity full spectrum, high PAR LED’s recommended. You will need to acclimate to higher PAR levels to bring out red coloration.

Water requirements:

Regular mistings 3-5 times per day, for 10-15 second intervals in terrarium/ vivarium/ paludarium.

Pests and diseases:
Aphids, thrips, weevil, scale insect, mealy bug
